We have been working with the people at JE on our pistons since 1978. Through our racing engine research and on track experience we have continuously modified our designs for better performance. We won four SCCA National Championships using the same piston design you can now buy off our shelf. Professional engine builders all over the world use our pistons.

Compression of 12.5:1 is measured with standard cylinder head height of 112mm and 114mm Reinze gasket
With lightweight JE pins our piston/pin total weight is 15% lighter than Borgo 10.4:1 and 10% lighter than Cosworth.

Our JE 2000 big valve race piston was developed to be as good as the Cosworth pistons costing nearly double the price. Our pistons will bolt in all but the most severely milled heads. The Cosworth can have interference issues above .020 milling. A set of our pistons is still a bargain and make the same power. This 84mm piston keeps the displacement under the FIA 2000cc limit and fits the standard bores.

It is both convenient and cheap to be able to use the standard size liners.

Deeper valve reliefs accommodate most performance cams
Larger valve reliefs will accommodate oversize 46mm intake and 41mm exhaust valves

This piston set includes standard wrist pins (109 grams) and *Deves rings. You should consider the following upgrades:

Upgrade to light weight pins (77 grams) for an additional $60.00.
Upgrade to Total Seal conventional ring set with ductile compression ring. $27.00 extra (*the standard Deves cast compression rings can fail in ghigh rpm engines above 7500.).
Upgrade to Total Seal gapless second ring set for more HP. $129.00 extra.
Upgrade to Total Seal gapless top ring set for even more HP. $159.00 extra
