This oil control windage tray fits all 1300-2000 Alfa Romeo engines 1955-1994. We took all engines into consideration when we designed this universal unit.  Windage trays that were standard with the 1300 and 1600 engines cannot be used in addition to our windage tray.  SPLATTER BECOME A PROBLEM ABOVE 5000 RPM and the engine develops tremendous parasitic drag from the heavy atmosphere of oil. The scraper and wire mesh control system of this ultimate kit makes a huge difference in performance. The addition of a woven wire mesh barrier prevents ejected oil from bouncing back into the vortex. It collects harmlessly below the screen and is protected from windage as it flows back to the sump. The ultimate tray is attached with eight lock nuts. The mesh barrier attaches to the tray with eight machine screws.

• PARASIDIC HP LOSS is dramatically reduced.
• IMPROVED DRAINAGE. The drain back of oil ejected from the crank is facilitated by the row of four windows on each side. These holes let the shedding oil escape into the pan away from the spinning crank. The old solid trays collect stagnant oil and feed it back into the vortex.
• RIGIDITY. This windage tray bolts to the main bearing studs and sandwiches between block and oil pan. This adds rigidity to the main bearing caps
• SCRAPER. The grooved plate wraps around the rod profile pealing off the "ropes" of oil that cling to the shaft as it rotates.
• WALL CLIMBING. When the G-force builds during corering the oil tries to climb up the walls of the pan and block. The half-inch lip along the seam of pan and block prevent this.
