All of our street/performance cams are daily driver
friendly with gentle opening ramps for good idle and transition
with no lag or flat spots. Our custom designs have
progressively more top end.
STREET PERFORMANCE (NEW - No Exchange
This Columbo & Bariani cam is a great street
performance upgrade for all Weber and Spica cars. These
10.9mm cams are similar to the
factory European 1750/2000 performance
profile with the same good lowend torque,
better midrange and a lot more top
end. Duration 244 degrees @ .050" lift. Total
BASIC SETUP: A pair of
these ARSM-2 Cams is a smooth step up in performance from the
stock cams, and brings the engine power a pleasant boost by raising
the torque curve mostly on the low end.
HOTTER SETUP: Substitute our C/B
12.0mm ARST-1 cam on the intake side. For street
performance with emplasis on top end performance. Up to
mid-range will be about the same with both setups. This
combination is the most popular street combo on the planet.
PORTING: Cleaning up the
bowls from valve seats to back guides is quite sufficient for
street performane cams without enlarging the runners.
Full porting is marginaly appropriate for street unless you
plan to do track days. Enlarging the ports enhances gain from
midrange up and pays handsomely above 7000 rpm.
VALVES: Enlarging the window
into the chambers with our 1mm oversize valves is equally
valuable and lets cams have full affect for both street performance
HEADERS: Cam and porting do
make a big difference on their own, but these enhancements will
only reach their full potential with our Spruell Motorsport
free flow headers.
